Home School Community Liaison

The Home School Community Liaison National Co-ordinator for disadvantage initiatives is Concepta Conaty. The Assistant National Co-ordinator for Dublin 1 and Dublin 7 is Denis Mc Carthy. Home School Community Liaison is an initiative of the Social Inclusion Unit of the Department of Education and Science.

The development of local committees is seen as fostering community ownership of the Home School Community Liaison Scheme. Community agencies, parents, and schools working together leads to a more integrated delivery of services to the children and families in the Dublin 1 and 7 area.
